INGREDIENTS
- 15 plum tomatoes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- half tsp oregano
- half tsp basil
- a quarter tsp garlic powder

- 1 baking sheet
- 1 parchment paper
- 1 knife
- 1 jar
STEPS
Cut plum tomatoes in half and deseed them.
Preheat the oven to 200°F for 12-15 minutes.
Spread olive oil over parchment paper on a baking sheet. Transfer the tomatoes, cut side up, and sprinkle salt over them. Add granulated sugar, oregano, basil, and garlic powder over the tomatoes. Turn the sprinkled tomatoes, cut side down, and put them in the oven. Bake for 120 minutes, then flip the baked tomatoes and return to the oven. Bake for an additional 2-6 hours (depending on how dry you want the tomatoes to be).
Set the baking sheet aside for 30 minutes to cool.
Transfer the oven dried tomatoes to a jar.
