INGREDIENTS

  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1½ lb green beans
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 shallots
  • ½ cup red wine vinegar

TOOLS

  • 1 knife
  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 wooden spoon
  • 1 colander
  • 1 skillet pan
  • 1 bowl
  • 1 plate

STEPS

Chop the shallots and halve the green beans.


Pour 4 cups of water into a saucepan and turn on the heat. Bring the water to a boil, then add the green bean halves. Cook for 3 minutes, then remove from the heat.


Place the ice cubes in a bowl and pour 2 cups of water over them. Add the cooked green bean to the bowl to cool.


Drain the green beans in a colander.


Drizzle olive oil over a skillet pan and turn on the heat. Add the chopped shallots and stir with a wooden spoon. Cook for 3 minutes, then add the red wine vinegar. Cook for another 5 minutes, then add the drained green beans. Season with salt and black pepper. Stir with a wooden spoon for 2 more minutes, then remove from the heat.


Transfer the contents of the skillet pan to a plate.
