  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 small saucepan
  • 1 oven
  • 1 grater
  • 1 wooden spoon
  • 1 colander
  • 1 casserole pot
  • 4 ovenproof dishes

STEPS

Cut the french baguette into cubes. Peel and chop the garlic.

Grate the parmesan cheese and cheddar cheese using a grater.

Put 1 tbsp of butter in a small saucepan and melt it over low heat. Then remove the pan from the heat.

Preheat the oven to 390°F for 17 minutes.

Place the french baguette cubes on a baking sheet and drizzle the melted butter over them. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Put the baking sheet in the hot oven and bake for 6 minutes to get crispy bread cubes. Then remove the baking sheet from the oven.

Pour 8 cups of water into a casserole pot and turn on the heat. Boil the water for 2 minutes, then add macaroni pasta. Cook for 10 minutes, then turn off the heat.

Drain the cooked macaroni pasta in a colander.

Put 2 tbsp of butter in a saucepan and turn on the heat. Add the chopped garlic and mustard powder to the saucepan and stir with a wooden spoon. Add all purpose flour and stir again with a wooden spoon. Now pour gradually whole milk while stirring with a wooden spoon continuously. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat. Add the grated cheddar cheese to the saucepan and half of the grated parmesan cheese. Stir with a wooden spoon until mixed well, then add the drained macaroni pasta to the saucepan. Divide the contents of the saucepan and crispy bread cubes into ovenproof dishes. Sprinkle the other half of the grated parmesan cheese over them and place them in the hot oven. Bake for 20 minutes.
